Research areas
Corpus-aligned prioritiesQuestions grounded in the JVHC record
Infectious disease and microbiology
Veterinary pathogens, host response, diagnostics, zoonotic relevance and disease control supported by animal-health evidence.
Parasitology and reproduction
Veterinary parasitology, theriogenology, fertility, reproductive technologies and neonatal outcomes.
Pathology, oncology and diagnostics
Diagnostic pathology, neoplasia, laboratory methods and clinically meaningful diagnostic assessment.
Clinical care and therapeutics
Veterinary medicine, surgery, anaesthesia, pharmacology, toxicology and treatment evaluation with supported outcomes.
Nutrition and production settings
Animal nutrition, grazing or husbandry questions with a defined health or welfare outcome.
Veterinary public health
Food safety, zoonoses and other One Health questions in which the veterinary link and animal evidence are explicit.
Species and settings
Species · veterinary relevanceThe question must remain veterinary
The published archive includes cattle, buffalo, sheep, poultry, camels, llamas, dogs, cats, horses, farmed fish, wild camelids, laboratory rodents and rabbits. Species alone does not establish fit: the manuscript must make a clear contribution to veterinary healthcare, animal welfare or a veterinary-linked population-health question.
JVHC considers zoonoses, food safety and linked human-animal questions where animal-health evidence is central. General environmental or human-health work without a substantive veterinary connection is outside the approved remit.

How manuscripts are assessed
Standard editorial processNo deadline, guarantee or expedited track
Submission to a rolling call does not guarantee external review or acceptance. The editorial office first considers scope, completeness, ethics and reporting. Eligible papers undergo single-blind assessment by at least two independent reviewers.
No public first-decision or publication-time promise is verified for JVHC. Authors should not interpret this call as an accelerated or preferential route.
