Call for papers
IJHA welcomes year-round submissions that advance the study of human anatomy and anatomical sciences through well-defined questions, appropriate methods and transparent reporting.
Research welcomed by IJHA
Suitable manuscripts keep human anatomical structure, variation, development, measurement, imaging, functional relationships or anatomy education as the principal scholarly question.
- Structure and variation
- Gross, regional, surface, clinical or surgical anatomy; documented variants and relationships.
- Measurement and visualization
- Morphometry, anthropometry, radiological anatomy, clinically relevant biomechanics, three-dimensional reconstruction and anatomical informatics.
- Development and microstructure
- Human neuroanatomy, development, embryology, histology or microanatomy where structure is the principal finding.
- Learning and specimen practice
- Anatomy education with defined outcomes; dissection, preservation, plastination and specimen documentation with validation.

Submission routes
Editorial independence
Submission, invitation, correspondence with an editor, payment, membership or any service does not confer an advantage in external peer review or acceptance. Manuscripts that proceed to external peer review are normally assessed by at least two independent specialists. The editor considers scope, scholarly contribution, methodological rigor, ethics, reporting and research integrity.
An invitation to submit does not guarantee external review, acceptance or publication.
