Manuscript Structure and Formatting

Title: Clear, concise (maximum 30 words), no abbreviations. Should accurately reflect manuscript content.
Author Information: Full names, ORCID iDs (recommended), institutional affiliations, complete contact details. Designate corresponding author.
Running Title: Shortened version for page headers (maximum 60 characters including spaces).
Keywords: 5-12 specific, searchable terms. Use MeSH terms when applicable.
Abstract: Structured abstract (250 words maximum). Include: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusions.

Main Manuscript Sections

Introduction (500 words or fewer)
State research objectives, provide essential background, and articulate hypotheses tested.

Materials and Methods
Provide sufficient detail for replication. Include:

  • Study design and setting
  • Participant characteristics and recruitment
  • Interventions or exposures
  • Outcome measures and assessment tools
  • Statistical analyses with software details
  • Ethics approval and informed consent procedures

Results
Present findings logically. Use tables and figures to enhance clarity. Include statistical analyses with p-values and confidence intervals.

Discussion (1500 words or fewer)
Interpret findings in context. Address:

  • Principal findings and significance
  • Comparison with previous research
  • Strengths and limitations
  • Clinical or public health implications
  • Directions for future research

Conclusion
Concise summary of key findings and broader significance. Focus on practical implications.

Supplementary Sections

Acknowledgments: Recognize funding sources (grant numbers required). Acknowledge technical contributions not warranting authorship.

Author Contributions: Specify each author's contribution using CRediT taxonomy.

Funding Statement: Declare all financial support. If unfunded, state: "This research received no specific grant."

Conflict of Interest: Disclose any relationships that could influence research. If none: "The authors declare no conflicts of interest."

References

Use numerical citation system in order of appearance. List first five authors, then "et al." Authors are responsible for accuracy.

Tables and Figures

Tables: Each table on separate page with descriptive title and legend. Number consecutively (Table 1, Table 2, etc.).

Figures: High-resolution images (minimum 300 dpi) in TIFF, EPS, or high-quality JPEG. Each figure with caption below. Ensure text is legible (2mm or larger after reduction).

Abbreviations: Define all abbreviations at first use. Limit to those improving readability.

Research Ethics and Integrity

Human Research: All studies involving human participants must have ethics committee approval. Include approval number. Obtain informed consent. Maintain patient confidentiality.
Animal Research: Comply with ARRIVE guidelines and institutional regulations. State ethics approval, animal welfare standards, and efforts to minimize suffering.

Clinical Trials: Must be registered in recognized public registry (e.g., ClinicalTrials.gov) before enrollment. Include registration number.

Data Availability: We encourage data sharing. Include data availability statement.

Scientific Integrity: Zero tolerance for plagiarism, data fabrication, or falsification. All submissions undergo similarity screening.

Supplemental Materials

Manuscripts must be complete and self-contained. Acceptable supplemental materials:

  • Extended datasets
  • Additional figures or tables
  • Video files or animations
  • Detailed protocols
  • Questionnaires or survey instruments
Supplemental materials undergo peer review. Materials submitted after acceptance will not be published.
